Lyttelton band The Lucky Lost celebrate the release of their second album, This time produced by the legendary Ben Edwards of The Sitting Room studio in Lyttelton.( Tami Neilson, Marlon Williams, Delaney Davidson, Nadia Reid, Aldous Harding)

'Recording with Ben was such a musically expanding experience for us.
He really nurtured us, and helped us refine and define our unique sound. We’re thrilled to be sharing the end result called 'Tethered to the Sea' , said band-member Lucinda Whiteley'

The Lucky Lost are Darren Tatom (guitar and vocals, previously of the
Plasticine Heroes), Lucinda Whiteley (cello, keyboards, and vocals), William Field, (bass, guitar and vocals, ex The South Tonight and The Spencerville Project), Jack Cameron (drums and percussion) and
Gordon Goodinson, (previously from Murder Inc. on electric guitar and vocals).

Having produced and written their first self-titled
album, Darren Tatom has once again proven himself as a songwriter, and is now joined by debut songwriter William Field whose songs reflect William's musical sophistication and playfulness.

A winning addition since the first album is Gordon with his shimmering
electric guitar.

Tethered to the sea examines the boundary between the
fractured land and the forgiving sea. The songs, like the tides move rhythmically along that margin where we might play, love, escape or even perish.

Back in 2011 Singer/Songwriter Darren Tatom , met with keyboard player and cellist, Lucinda Whiteley. They gigged regularly around their harbour town, Lyttelton. Over the following years, new members have arrived through chance meetings or established musical connections.
